The AVP of Ambulatory Services establishes and maintains an effective overall organizational structure that ensures accountability and acheivement of goals. Develops strategy and business plans and the infrastructure necessary to assure operations functions in an optimal manner. Provides strategic leadership for clinical operations with direct accountability for the ambulatory operations and integrated continuum of care. Effectively communicates vision, mission, organizational structure, and strategic plan to relevant constituencies. Establishes principles for outreach activities in conjunction with clinical departments, program directors, and Administration.
The AVP of Ambulatory Services establishes and maintains an effective overall organization of outpatient services. Direct in conjusnction with the department managers and department administrators, the selection, employment, compensation, and evaluation of employees within the ambulatory operations. Responsible for the effective development of outpatient facility resources. Monitors staffing, space requirements, and standards of care and ensures the goals and objectives are attained. Develops and maintains an effective benchmarking system for ambulatory operations. Responsible for the implementation and management of key patient service initiatives that will lead to a seamless flow of care for the patients. Evaluates patient satisfaction with services received from the ambulatory sites. Participates in the planning and coordination of off-campus programs across clinical services, providing leadership in the setup of off-site clinical programs and the necessary operational systems to support and ensure a successful program.
The AVP of Ambulatory Services will oversee and provide leadership in the development and implementation of integrated operational and administrative programs, structures, system, policies, and programs. Responsible for monitoring the operational budget and holds management accountable to stay within the fiscal year budget and explain variances. Accountable for ensuring appropriate contractual relationships with 3rd party organizations. Accountable for developing appropriate contracts to ensure regulatory compliance within and outside ARH.
Education:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.
10 years of related experience required.
