The Chargemaster Analyst is accountable for ensuring the ongoing consistency of the Chargemaster including accurate descriptions, coding, additions, deletions, pricing, and any other changes.
Performs tasks related to the improvement of the Patient Financial Services functions.
Monitors, analyzes and performs tasks related to the maintenance of the Chargemaster for a multi-facility healthcare system, including hospital, clinic and home health operations.
Monitors regulatory changes affecting healthcare and analyzes financial impact.
Researches and resolves issues related to billing, reimbursement, finance and compliance.
Researches and analyzes new service lines.

Participates on various design, testing, and upgrade teams.
Monitors the assignment of HCPCS codes in the Supply and Pharmacy departments.
Assures that corporate billing and collection practices are within legal and corporate guidelines.
Develops reports based on financial information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BS in Business, Accounting or other Healthcare related field with two (2) years of successful experience in health care receivables, or five (5) years experience in healthcare receivables
Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel and knowledge of the HBOC STAR system.
Thorough knowledge of UB92 revenue codes, CPT-4 and HCPCS codes.
Strong organizational and time management skills
