The Crisis Response Associate role is a temporary SAMHSA Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program (CCP) grant funded position in response to the flooding in Eastern Kentucky that occurred in July 2022. The associate will be responsible for providing and documenting outreach services to staff and the community related to the Kentucky Community Crisis Response Team behavioral health related activities.
The CCP helps individuals and communities recover from natural and human-caused disasters through community outreach and access to mental health services. The CCP is a short-term disaster relief grant for states, US territories, and federally recognized tribes. CCP grants are awarded after a presidential disaster declaration. CCP funding supports community-based outreach, counseling, and other mental health services to survivors of natural and human-caused disasters.
The CCP helps people recover and rebuild their lives after a disaster. The CCP supports short-term interventions that involve the following counseling goals:
