Overview

The Aesthetics Clinical Manager is accountable for the supervision of services provided at the Beckley ARH Rejuvenation Center as well as the day to day operations of the center, with the goal being to provide safe, effective and efficient services and products to clients and patients. This position is an important part of the Management Team and the responsibilities for the position include: assigning, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care for clients and patients, daily operations, including fiscal responsibility of the Rejuvination Center, accountability for providing services to clients and supervision of the other team members. This position is evaluated on the basis of objective measurable criteria, including maximizing the personal abilities and competence of other personnel assigned to the Rejuvenation Center as well as on-going competence of self. Management and supervision duties will be 20% with 80% provision of services to clients/patients. Marketing and promotion of the Rejuvenation Center, as well as working with other departments and/or entities that the center is associated with is expected.

Responsibilities

 

Assign work to staff nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and other necessary personnel to meet the Rejuvenation Center's objectives

1. Ensure continuity of provision of services and products by planning staff assignments through evaluation of the competency, education and training of unit personnel compared to client/patient needs.

 

2. Develop effective communications between unit personnel, physicians and other System and Community personnel and departments to assure continuity, coordination and collaboration in delivering appropriate services to population served.


3. Maintain proficiency with respect to applicable technologies and products/services to permit informed recommendations regarding new services, products and equipment.


4. Interview, select, evaluate, discipline and terminate unit personnel, or recommend such action, as necessary, consistent with Community and System policies and procedures.


5. Assure that assigned employees receive proper orientation and attend in-service training that is required for such employees to maintain proper licensure or certification.


6. Maintain personnel records and related information as required.


7. Develop work schedules for unit(s) assigned, including vacation, leaves of absence, call-in, call-off, and other time off requirements.


8. Responsibly direct and supervise all activities in the assigned unit(s).


9. Assist in Preparation or area/department/unit budgets, routine and special reports and other documents as required.


10. Participate in formulating management and supervisory personnel policies and procedures.

 

11. Apply advance knowledge with respect to clinical matters, serving as a role model and resource, including performing direct provision of services and care as necessary.

 

12. Direct, oversee, and assist in the delivery of services and day to day operations, with respect to the Rejuvenation Center, including, but not limited to such functions as follows. 

 

  • Assist in cases of emergency.

 

  • Train new, inexperienced and present assigned personnel by instruction and demonstration of safe or proper working procedures.

 

  • Assist assigned personnel in the performance of a task when requested by such personnel.

 

  • Assist assigned personnel in correcting, adjusting or controlling new equipment during installation or testing periods.

 

  • Assist assigned personnel in meeting patient care requirements where undo delay would interrupt safe patient care, until other assistance is available.

 

  • Fill in for assigned personnel to avoid interruption of provision of services until additional assigned personnel are located and available for work.

 

  • Perform or assist in the performance of clinical treatments, procedures, and provision of services, which may require expert skills and judgement in accordance with established standards. This will be 80% of the job responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

BSN or MSN preferred; a minimum of two years of relevant experience, five years preferred, with demonstrated management potential and proficient clinical skills.

 

Graduation of an approved school of nursing and maintain current non-limited license in assigned State.

 

Must have experience in medical spa and/or cosmetic/aesthetic practice setting with emphais on clinical expertise and business/financial management and marketing/promotion of services and products.
