Under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager, the RN on the Behavioral Health unit manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum Work Experience:

• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills.
• Ability to care for multiple patients.
• Flexibility in scheduling and in moving within patient care areas.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Willing to fulfill role as Charge RN.
• Clinical resource for staff.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• BLS/CPR (preferred or within 30 days of hire)
• Current state registration.
• CPI certification (preferred or within 90 days of hire)
• ACLS (preferred or within a year after hire)
