Overview

Provides patient care applying specialized knowledge and demonstrated clinical nursing skills.  Maintains all required Nursing certifications and licenses.  Performs nursing duties applying trained expertise, as well as ensuring patients receive the level of care and attention representative of the company's high-level mission and commitments to the healthcare community.

Responsibilities

Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations..

Communicates direction for Nursing processes to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors, and ensures methods align with organizational goals and objectives to improve health and promote well-being.

Ensures the effective daily operation of the nursing unit on 24-7 basis by monitoring all activities necessary to provide consistent high quality patient care, including staffing, equipment, supplies and services.

Coordinates the activities of nursing staff, is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the unit and staff including stat orders, treatments, plans of care, and clinical pathways are being carried out in a consistent manner.

Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.

Manages operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.

Integrates the organization's mission, vision, and core values of improving health and promoting well-being with the strategies and goals of the Nursing  team and enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • 1-3 years n healthcare Required
  • Advanced knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines; flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with customers and community.
  • Advanced communication skills used to lead a team.
  • Advanced execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients.
  • Mastery knowledge of phases of care transitions and resources available for patients.
  • Mastery of digital literacy skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
  • Registered Nurse. Required
