Overview

The Workforce Manager within the Workforce Initiatives division plays a pivotal role in advancing and developing strategies aimed at ensuring the sustainability and excellence of our healthcare workforce. This dynamic position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including workforce strategy development, program management and coordination, partnership development, data tracking, and more.

 

As a key member of the team, the workforce manager may operate in a general or specialized capacity focusing on Workforce Development and/or Workforce Advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Workforce Executive to develop and execute workforce strategies aimed at ensuring the sustainability and growth of our healthcare workforce.
  • Lead the coordination of various workforce-related initiatives, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Drive marketing efforts for the department, promoting workforce initiatives effectively to reach the target audience and support organizational objectives.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of workforce data trends and labor market conditions, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to maintain our healthcare system's competitiveness in the market, adapting to changing workforce dynamics and demands.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and partnerships to advance workforce initiative goals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs, recommending improvements or modifications based on feedback and performance data.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions and community partners to establish a robust talent pipeline for the healthcare industry, including internships, apprenticeships, and educational partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on workforce-related initiatives, assessing their impact and effectiveness to guide future strategies.
  • Identify, apply for, and manage grants for specific workforce areas as directed by the AVP of Workforce, ensuring compliance and effective utilization of funds.
  • Develop new workforce programs to address emerging needs and challenges in the healthcare industry, managing their implementation and overseeing their success.
  • Manage current workforce programs, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and performance monitoring to ensure their continued effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the workforce management function.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

 

Minimum Work Experience

  • 2+ years experience in workforce or related roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Healthcare related experience preferred.
