Overview

The Senior Applications Analyst is accountable for implementing and maintaining the designated information systems application and for providing direct and indirect support for the hospital departments that are impacted by the implementation of those systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all installation activities for the designated application and ensures adherence to the implementation schedule.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the use of the application in compliance with JCAHO as applicable.
  • Collaborate with user management, department heads, etc., to analyze and document system needs.
  • Define user requirements and translate requirements and all procedures necessary to maintain computer-related systems specifications.
  • Present to ARH management and users the implications of new IS applications.
  • Make recommendations concerning equipment, software and long-range information systems plans.
  • Develop effective communications between unit personnel, physicians, administrative staff and other departments to assure continuity, coordination and collaboration in delivering services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field so they may recommend new services, products and equipment. Continue professional development by attending education programs designed for nursing leaders.
  • Build tables, and parameters for designated application.
  • Ensure that all prices are correct and that the financial item is appropriately updated with the new prices and changing information.
  • Collaborate with facility personnel to develop a transition plan for implementation of the application.
  • Provide status information to the Project Manager.
  • Lead the project team for the designated application related to planning and problem solving for integration issues.
  • Collaborate with other product coordinators on integration issues between products.
  • Coordinate planning and completion of all site preparation tasks, including training.
  • Travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate Degree with 5 years experience in related field.

2-3 years experience with Symplr API Time & Attendance and Staffing & Scheduling application.

Strong leadership experience.

Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience required, minimum of 3 years. 

 

POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess the physical ability needed to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally; and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently; and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
