Manages individualized, goal‑directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Minimum Education: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Minimum Work Experience: 

• 2 years Surgery experience preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications: 

• Current licensure in state or eligibility to do so
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• CNOR certification, preferred

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 

• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills
• Demonstrated knowledge concerning Association of Operating Room Nurses’ Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices
• Able to work independently and as a team member
