Overview

The Philanthropy Officer will play a critical role in increasing donor support and acts as an ambassador for the Foundation and ARH across the community.  Responsibilities include: new donor identification, cultivation and stewardship of existing donors to increase overall retention and giving levels, and relationship management between donors and others on the board and staff who work with them. The Philanthropy Officer will also be responsible for attending and organizing Foundation efforts including events, Grateful Patient program, Employee giving and others as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Help our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with our organization
  • Assist in identification and qualification of new prospects and donors in the region.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings to cultivate donor and prospect relationships.
  • Prepare written materials such as proposals, solicitations, and reports.
  • Record and report key metrics through use of internal tracking systems.
  • Provide customer service for donors as a primary point of contact.
  • Actively manage a portfolio of approximately 50 prospects with specific cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for each assigned prospect.
  • Coordinate and orchestrate prospect movement strategies with the appropriate hospital administration, physicians and senior leadership
  • Make arrangements for meetings with major donors, including scheduling with all parties involved and keeping the momentum for arranging meetings with donors.
  • Responsible for meeting all fundraising metrics including visits, calls, and proposals.
  • Make direct, face-to-face solicitations with the assistance and approval of the Executive Director
  • Support Foundation efforts including Foundation Events, Grateful Patient program, Employee giving and others as necessary
  • Identify partnerships and speaking engagements for the Executive Director to promote the foundation
