Overview

Manage all aspects of the PACS systems at ARH facilities including, but not limited to development, maintenance
of, adherence to the organizations policies and procedures covering the security of and working with all
applicable staff to ensure that these systems are operating at peak potential. Keeping a level of hands-on
expertise on these systems is encouraged and expected. This resource will also be responsible for managing the
Radiology Transcription system as it relates to radiology resources.

Responsibilities

Be able to provide development guidance and assistance in the identification, implementation and maintenance
of organization IT policies as it relates to the Radiology world
Responsible for day-to-day PACS operations including image workflow, archiving, autorouting, prefetching, and
other related activities.
Ability to work with Radiology, Clinical and IT staff to provide an optimal experience in the PACs environment to
facilitate patient care.
Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms with customers, staff and leads.
Technical proficiency, excellent problem solving and analytic skills
Application support experience with Mckesson PACs, and Powerscribe
Understands 3rd Party application integration and performance monitoring
Will need to work closely with radiology quality management personnel to identify future needs and to design
efficient workflow processes
Emphasis on day-to-day smooth operation of the all PACs systems. Responsible for required system
maintenance – both daily and at other defined intervals. Act as liaison and trainer – where necessary - for
radiology staff, IT and vendor support. Keep applications up-to-date with required patches.

Qualifications

Education (experience can be substituted for education)
Bachelor's Degree Required

 

Work Experience (education can be substituted for experience)
4-6 years 5 years or relevant work experience and demonstrated ability to work independently.
