The Buyer Assistant is to provide clerical and functional support to the procurement staff and Purchasing
Manager, as well as communicating with and providing customer service to procurement staff and vendors. This
position serves as a bridge for increased role and responsibility within the department.
Maintains spreadsheets to track savings opportunities and capital tracking
Gathers information and maintain records
Creates Vendor Tax Exempts when requested
Vendor check-in/Ensures integrity of Vendor Credentialing platform
Inputs order confirmations into Lawson
Maintains office supply stock for purchasing
Assists Buyers as needed
Purchases specific category of supplies
Manages and retain records
Other duties, as necessary
Education Level
High School Diploma Required
Associate's Degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field. Preferred
Experience
1-3 years in health care experience. Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Accountable for performing accurately and promptly routine purchasing activities within ARH policies and guidelines.
Accountable for maintenance of appropriate purchasing records.
Accountable for assisting ARH Buying Staff.
