Performs mammography imaging studies in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines.
Prepares and transports patients as necessary.
Prepares imaging equipment, room, and images, as need for interpretation.
Verifies and completes studies in RIS and PACS.
Maintains Quality Control on Equipment as Instructed.
Essential Function
1. Performs mammography exams; needle localization and biopsy films.
2. Assists in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
3. Maintains exam rooms, patients' waiting room and work area in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
4. Displays superior interpersonal skills with patients and peers.
5. Reports any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdown immediately to supervisor.
6. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general
safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
7. Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
8. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to
ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous hospital environment.
9. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra
departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Education (experience can be substituted for education)
Associate's Degree in Radiology from approved program. Required

Must be able to meet hospital on-call requirements

ARRT Certification
