The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the supervision of nursing services to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient patient care. As a member of the Management Team, this position is responsible for assigning, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care within the assigned nursing unit(s).
Performance in this role is evaluated using objective and measurable criteria, including the development, competency, and performance of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and other personnel assigned to the unit(s) under the Clinical Nurse Manager’s supervision.
The Clinical Nurse Manager reports to the Nurse Manager or designee and provides direct supervision to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, nursing service clerks, monitor technicians, and other assigned personnel.
This position maintains frequent interaction with employees, patients, patients' families, visitors, and members of the medical staff.
