The Clinic Manager is accountable for the supervision and implementation of methods and procedures involved in operating a doctor’s office or group of doctors’ offices.
Responsibilities
Supervises the initiation of billing activities and the posting of daily charges and adjustments to outpatient accounts.
Supervises the preparation of daily bank deposits and daily income registers and accounts for clinic cash receipts and deposits with the Business Office on a daily basis.
Supervises the maintenance of clinic records and office expenditures.
Coordinates activities between the clinic and various hospital departments.
Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines clinic employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree and one (1) year of experience in the management of a segment of a healthcare program; or
Two (2) years of experience in a hospital Business Office, including one (1) year in a hospital or physician office setting and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of business office and clinic procedures.
Ability to work effectively and maintain positive relationships with groups, individuals, and physicians.
Familiarity with physician office equipment and office machines.
