Overview

The Director of Provider Relations, who reports directly to the VP, Physician Recruitment, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ARH approved strategies aimed at improving provider satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assesses physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) satisfaction through surveys, personal interviews, individual meetings, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Identifies causes of provider turnover and develops targeted retention strategies and interventions.
  • Creates and supports programs focused on professional development, mentorship, and work-life balance.
  • Manages the provider onboarding process to ensure successful integration and engagement.
  • Collaborates with organizational leadership to identify and address systemic issues affecting provider retention and satisfaction.
  • Establishes and leads the System Provider Engagement Committee.
  • Monitors provider retention metrics and reports progress and outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Reviews provider contract expiration dates and manages contract extension addendums.
  • Travels as required to support provider engagement, retention, and organizational initiatives.

 

Qualifications

 Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA) preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive healthcare experience required.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of provider practice operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider retention strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider engagement principles and best practices.
