Overview

The Administrative Assistant is accountable for implementing specific work projects and for performing administrative tasks relative to the operation of the Hospital or Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting employees with personnel and labor relations matters.

• Compiles data related to the various components of the Clinic and assists in the interpretation of that data.

• Performs various administrative duties, special projects, and personnel-related functions as assigned.

• Assists in the preparation of various reports as necessary and reviews reports received by the Administrator to ensure accuracy.

• Administers payroll functions for employees.

• Reviews CPT coding with physicians as it relates to charges and collections.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline preferred; OR

• Associate Degree with two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting; OR

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in administration, management, or business-related fields, preferably in a hospital environment.

Experience

• Two (2) years of administrative experience preferred with an Associate Degree.

• Minimum of five (5) years of administration, management, or business-related experience preferred with a High School Diploma or GED.

• Healthcare, clinic, or hospital experience preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Knowledge of administrative and business operations.

• Ability to assist with personnel and labor relations functions.

• Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret operational data.

• Ability to prepare and review reports for accuracy.

• Knowledge of payroll administration processes.

• Knowledge of CPT coding and its relationship to charges and collections.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and special projects.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

• Proficiency with office technology and business software applications.
