The House Nurse Coordinator is accountable for the management of nursing services on a given shift under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services in order to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care.

Responsible for responding to requests by the nursing staff of physician staff to assist with ALS interventions and to assist with emergency care within the emergency department according to protocols and policies approved by the hospital and emergency department medical director, and hospital policy.

The Nurse Extern is accountable for providing nursing assistance and performing basic nursing procedures to groups of patients within an assigned nursing department, under the supervision, guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. In addition, the Nurse Extern can gain additional clinical practice to enhance their preparation as future licensed nurses.

The LPN is responsible for performing a wide variety of nursing care, patient activities, and accommodative services for the comfort and well-being of patients in accordance with physicians' orders and under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is accountable for supervising the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure sanitary, orderly and attractive conditions of hospital facilities to provide a suitable environment for the care of patients and for the work of the hospital staff.

The Clinical Nurse Manager, working with Nurse Managers, is accountable for the supervision of nursing services for certain assigned nursing units to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care.  This position is an important part of the Management Team and the responsibilities for the position include:  assigning, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for the assigned unit(s).  This position is evaluated on the basis of objective measurable criteria, including maximizing the personal abilities and competence of staff nurses, licensed practical nurses and other personnel assigned to the unit(s) for which the Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible.

In addition, the Nurse Extern can gain additional clinical practice to enhance their preparation as future licensed nurses
