The Operating Room Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the Operating Room to assist the surgical team and to assist the nursing team on the hospital floors.
The Registered Nurse requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process in the respective departments in which assigned. The RN must collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members and students.
This management position will oversee all daily activities at the referral call center including but not limited to: oversight and scheduling of call center staff, monitoring call volumes and wait times, developing scripts for referral service representatives, ensuring proper phone etiquette is followed, training of customer service representatives, liaison activities to promote the referral center, handle complaints and the development of monthly reports to determine overall progress and performance of the call center.
The Nurse Aide is responsible for performing basic nursing procedures in assisting in the care of patients.
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical care/services to patients and health care professionals at any ARH or affiliated unit as assigned. Responsible for properly assessing patients’ pharmaceutical needs and providing pharmaceutical care. Responsible for the accurate and proper compounding and dispensing of prescribed medications and solutions. Responsible for the proper inventory and record keeping of medications. Responsible for properly counseling patients/patients’ families, and appropriate health care professionals regarding drug therapy.
Under the general direction of the Operating Room Director, provides education and assistance to the OR staff by performing various education competencies and orientation processes. Responsible for teaching, reviewing and final competency for orientee.
The Operating Room Coordinator is to ensure the prompt, safe, quality and effective care of surgical patients. The Coordinator is integrally involved in ensuring that staff, patients, and equipment come together seamlessly to move patients through the surgical process.
The Clinical Nurse Manager, working with Nurse Managers, is accountable for the supervision of nursing services for certain assigned nursing units to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care. This position is an important part of the Management Team and the responsibilities for the position include: assigning, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for the assigned unit(s). This position is evaluated on the basis of objective measurable criteria, including maximizing the personal abilities and competence of staff nurses, licensed practical nurses and other personnel assigned to the unit(s) for which the Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible.

evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Appalachian Regional Healthcare including
those established by the Nurse Practice Act. The primary function of this role, based upon hired tier and float
option, is to be available and flexible to float to various departments and/or hospital sites throughout ARH
healthcare locations within Kentucky and/or West Virginia. The SST RN is to provide patient care, which could

clinic operations. This role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, oversees equipment
and supplies, coordinates maintenance needs of the mobile unit, manages staff and providers, handles
budgeting and financial responsibilities, ensures the quality of care, and facilitates community outreach and
collaboration.
