The Clinical Nurse Manager, working with Nurse Managers, is accountable for the supervision of nursing services for certain assigned nursing units to provide safe, effective and efficient nursing care. This position is an important part of the Management Team and the responsibilities for the position include: assigning, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for the assigned unit(s). This position is evaluated on the basis of objective measurable criteria, including maximizing the personal abilities and competence of staff nurses, licensed practical nurses and other personnel assigned to the unit(s) for which the Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible.

This role sets the tone for the entire patient experience by greeting patients and visitors and directing them accordingly, as well as all other patient access responsibilities. The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery from high risk alcohol and drug use problems. The Peer Recovery Coach will work as part of the hospital team to provide peer support and motivation to encourage patients to change their substance use behavior. This includes direct interventions with patients while in the hospital or in the community to help access treatment and other recovery support services. The Peer Recovery Coach will see patients in the emergency department, on other assigned hospital units as well as conduct outreach and engagement in the community for patients following hospital discharge. Peer Recovery Coaches will develop service plans to promote successful linkage to referred services.
