The System Director of Sleep Services leads strategic planning, standardization, and program development efforts for Appalachian Regional Healthcare sleep services by coordinating efforts with all ARH sleep departments and other related operating units. The system director is also accountable for leading and developing the designated local sleep programs in addition to other local clinical and diagnostic programs as defined in the local structure. These include, but may not be limited to, respiratory therapy and various cardiopulmonary diagnostic programs to enable patients to receive the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for efficient and courteous registration, transfer and discharge of patients within established policies and procedures; thoroughly compiles and types medical information for patients' records and statistical reports and maintains current and accurate patient account receivables.   The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for the comfort and well-being of patients in accordance with physicians' orders.

Under the guidance of the director of radiology, performs full range of nuclear scans. Directs and supervises those assigned to assist in this process.

The Ambulatory Care Pharmacist is expected to be an integral part of an outpatient, multidisciplinary healthcare team to improve patient outcomes with a focus on medication management by overcoming any access barriers and providing necessary guideline directed therapy. This role will be responsible for ensuring integrated, accessible health care services. The Ambulatory Care Pharmacist will be accountable for addressing medication needs, developing and sustaining partnerships with patients and other healthcare providers, and practicing in the context of what is best for our patients and community.

The Social Worker is accountable for providing assistance to patients and their families with personal and environmental problems in order to maintain maximum benefits from medical and welfare services. The Social Worker is in frequent contact with patients, patient's family, physicians, nurses, chaplains, community and health agencies.

Provides general non-technical assistance to the perioperative staff. Responsible for transporting patients to the OR and back to the nursing units, pulling supplies/cases for surgeries, maintaining supplies in the operating room

The Peer Recovery Coach provides non-clinical services intended to aid patients in establishing recovery from high risk of dependent alcohol and drug use problems. The Peer Recovery Coach will work as part of the Emergency Department team/or designated area to provide peer support and motivation to encourage patients who are seeking treatment for alcohol or drug dependency and addiction issues. The Peer Recovery Coach will assist in completing referrals to treatment services and developing service plans to promote successful linkage to treatment services. Services will be provided in the Emergency Department/or designated area with appropriate follow-up.

The Respiratory Therapy Technician performs procedures and operates various equipment to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients.
